Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.

  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
