Turn Off the Ignition – Ensure the RV’s engine is off and the ignition key is removed to prevent accidental operation.
Check for Obstructions – Inspect the area around each jack for any debris, rocks, or obstacles that could interfere with retraction.
Manually Extend the Jacks – Using the control panel, extend all hydraulic jacks fully to their maximum position.
Release Hydraulic Pressure – Locate the manual release valve near the hydraulic pump and slowly open it to relieve any built-up pressure in the system.
Retract the Jacks Manually – If the system allows, manually retract the jacks using the override feature or by loosening the hydraulic lines slightly to release fluid.
Reset the Control Panel – Press and hold the reset button on the leveling control panel for 10 seconds or follow the manufacturer’s reset procedure.
Cycle the Jacks – Extend and retract each jack one at a time to ensure smooth operation and remove any air pockets in the system.
Check Hydraulic Fluid Levels – Locate the hydraulic reservoir and ensure the fluid is at the recommended level; add fluid if necessary.
Inspect for Leaks – Examine hydraulic lines, connections, and cylinders for any signs of leakage or damage.
Test the System – Power on the leveling system and attempt an automatic leveling cycle to confirm that all jacks are functioning properly.
Re-Calibrate if Necessary – If the system does not level correctly, follow the manufacturer’s recalibration procedure to reset the sensors.
Secure the Control Panel – Ensure all settings are saved, and turn off the control panel before moving the RV.
